Can I Have A Bellafill Treatment The Same Time As A Consultation

Question: I am very interested in Bellafill because it last 5 years. My dermatologist does not do Bellafill. It is important to me to have the treatment by someone who is highly experienced. I prefer treatment on the same day as my consultation so I can look good for the holidays. Is that possible?

Answer: While there is never a 100% guarantee that any kind of treatment can be performed on the same day as a consultation appointment, when it comes to Bellafill, 3/4 of my patients do get their treatment on the consultation day. I always try to accommodate a same day treatment when it comes to fillers.

As we approach the holiday season, I have seen an uptick in requests for same day treatments. Many patients will be gathering with friends and family and want to look good in time for the holidays. Patients also don’t want any signs of swelling to be visible.

One benefit of Bellafill is that treatment itself can usually be done in less than 20 minutes. Patients can typically return to most routine activities immediately following treatment. Makeup can also be worn right away. No pain medications are needed, making Bellafill a convenient treatment for one’s lifestyle.

Patients often ask if there will be any bruising or swelling after treatment. As with any injectable filler, bruising and swelling is possible. However, I do my Bellafill treatments with micro-injection cannulas which are much less traumatic. These advanced micro-cannulas are associated with significantly less swelling and bruising compared to the use of standard injection needles.

Patients also inquire about icing of the treated areas. While one can ice the areas, the majority of my patients prefer to use the post-injection serum which is applied in the office to the treated areas and under one’s makeup to be used up within 48 hours. The post-injection serum has become a popular substitute for icing.

As a BellaDiamond injector, having performed over 5000 Bellafill treatments since 2013, I can say that Bellafill is highly safe and very natural looking. Because of its 5-year duration, it does not require costly frequent maintenance treatments unlike temporary fillers. Bellafill has, in fact, become the #1 most requested injectable filler by my patients. It is commonly used in the nasolabial smile lines, marionette lines, hollow cheeks and temples as well as under the eyes.

A thorough consultation with a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon who is also a master injector is the first step in determining your Bellafill needs. BellaDiamond status is awarded to the top 1% of Bellafill physicians in the world and represents the pinnacle of expertise, experience and patient volume with Bellafill – the 5 year filler.
