Lipo-Rejuvenation

Liposuction can sculpt and refine face and neck contours by removing unwanted fat deposits. Since each person’s face and neck are unique, Dr. Mandal customizes the liposuction procedure to your individual needs. She can perform it as a single procedure or combine it with other procedures. For example, chin augmentation with neck liposuction can be very effective in defining the lower face and neckline in patients with early signs of aging who are not yet candidates for a facelift.

Liposuction Procedure

Liposuction is an outpatient procedure that Dr. Mandal typically performs in her office surgical suite, while the patient is under local anesthesia without the need for IVs or general anesthesia. Through small hidden micro-incisions, she inserts a thin, hollow tube or cannula under the skin to suction away excess fatty tissue. After the procedure is complete, typically in under an hour, the area is covered with a thin dressing for a few days. Swelling and bruising are typically mild and resolve in about a week. Minimal sutures are removed at one week. Incisions are so small that they are usually not visible once healed.

Combination Therapy

In addition to double chin, Kybella® has also been used for the treatment of fatty jowls. Kybella® can also fine-tune the results of liposuction by treating small amounts of residual fat.
