As a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon who is an expert in less invasive facial rejuvenation, Dr. Mandal performs mini-facelifts to improve mild to moderate sagging of the neck and jowls with a focus on giving a natural result. A mini-facelift is typically limited to the lower face and upper neck. The best candidates are patients whose aging has not passed the point where they need a traditional or more extensive facelift.

What are the Different Types of  Mini-Facelifts?

There are many types of mini-facelifts. What they all have in common is that they lift sagging face and/or neck tissues but take less time to perform, have fewer to no incisions, involve a smaller area of elevation, and typically require less anesthesia and recovery compared to a facelift. Dr. Mandal’s West Palm Beach & Palm Beach Gardens mini-facelift patients can take the form of a Jowl lift or even a WhisperLift™ which is designed to produce a natural look without the stretched or pulled look.

Patients who experience sagging of the lower face and neck with the development of jowls and excess neck skin, fat, and/or muscle have several rejuvenation options that range from surgical to non-surgical. The treatment you choose will depend on the degree of aging, your lifestyle, and whether you desire surgery or a minimally invasive approach.

Treatment Options:

• Non-Surgical Facelift: Genius™ RF / Infini™ RF can non-surgically improve the sagging of the face and neck by stimulating the body’s own natural collagen and elastin to lift and tighten. There is no downtime, no dressings, and no special aftercare. Bruising is rare while swelling and redness are minimal. Patients can wear makeup the next day. Lifting and tightening occur gradually with the final results typically seen at 6 months. Genius™ RF and Infini™ RF treatments can be effective on patients who have never had surgery and have mild to moderately loose jowls and neck skin. They are also great for patients who previously had facelift surgery and want to tweak the jaw and neckline or maintain their facelift results without surgery.
• WhisperLift™: Dr. Mandal tightens the underlying SMAS muscle instead of excising it to maintain natural volume in your central face. She then artfully re-drapes excess skin rather than pulling the skin. This approach gives a more natural appearance without a “wind-blown” or overpulled look.

• 4-D Liquid Face-lift consists of facial contouring in 4 dimensions, utilizing an individualized combination of botox, facial fillers, and/or Kybella® for double chin. Products include Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, Xeomin® as well as fillers , including Restylane®, Juvéderm® or Bellafill® – the 5-year filler and Kybella® . A 4-D Liquid Face-lift can be performed alone or to further enhance the results of a mini-facelift or non-surgical lifting procedures.
